The Five Islands
Anacapa Island
Distance: 11 miles from Ventura Travel Time: 1.5 hours Highlights: Lighthouse, arch rock, seabird colonies
The closest and most accessible island features dramatic cliffs and the largest breeding colony of California brown pelicans. The 154-step climb from landing cove leads to 2 miles of trails with spectacular views.

Santa Cruz Island

The largest island offers two landing areas:

Home to the famous Painted Cave - one of the world's largest sea caves - and the endemic island scrub-jay found nowhere else on Earth.
Santa Rosa Island

San Miguel Island
